Tom Shepherd Workshop

Tom Shepherd Workshop to be held on Friday 21st September from 10.00 - 4pm

ā€œCapturing the lightā€ - whatever the subject, learning how light brings a scene to life will instantly give paintings more drama and impact. We will be looking at capturing the light using tone, how to interpret and simplify your subject and how to enhance the feeling of light., Lastly we will be looking at how colour changes the light and the overall feeling of a scene.ā€

This means that whilst Tom paints in acrylics you can bring whatever medium you enjoy using.  The techniques he will be covering can be applied to all.  Also as there is no specific subject he will be setting various projects for us all to complete.  Iā€™m certainly looking forward to it!   Do get your forms back quickly as we are limited to 16 people maximum at a workshop. Form is here Tom Shepherd

Reference:
I will have a large box of reference photos available. I also suggest people bring their own as it is more likely to be something you are inspired to paint!!

If bringing your own reference please look for something with strong light and shadow as this makes painting the subject a lot easier.
