Jacqui is a versatile mixed media artist with a passion for rich vibrant colours. She was born in Yorkshire and settled in Kenilworth seven years ago, after travelling the world through her work.
Since moving to Warwickshire Jacqui has committed herself full time to art and her work is going from strength to strength. She has been exhibiting regularly in the region for the last five years and shows her recent work in the Mitchell Gallery in Warwick.
Jacqui is inspired by the British coastline, especially that of south Cornwall with its ever changing seas and skies. She loves the way the sea moves in so many different ways and the sway of the vivid flora that thrive by the coast.
Vibrant turquoises moving against dramatic pinks and yellows are evident in many of Jacqui’s seascapes. She creates texture and movement in these paintings by using a variety of tools including knives, sponges, heavy masonry brushes and even vegetables!
