A New President

After a long and fruitful service, Jane Powell has resigned from her post as President of the CWSA.  Jane has served the CWSA for several years in different posts within the Committee and she was the President who lead the Society through a very successful centenary year.  Thank you, Jane, for all the hard work you put in over the years, guiding the CWSA to be one of the leading Art Societies in the region.
I am happy to say that the vacancy Jane’s departure created has now been filled.  Nancy Upshall has accepted the post of President.  Nancy is one of the longest serving members of the CWSA and up to recently, one of the Vice-presidents.  She is a professional artist who has always involved herself in the affairs of the CWSA, attending many AGMs, holding workshops for the Society’s members and always happy to help with critiques both on a personal level and in group events.
So, as we salute the departing President, Jane Powell, we welcome the arrival of the new one, Nancy Upshall. We look forward to having Nancy as President of the CWSA for many years to come, welcoming her input in Committee meetings and having her presiding over the more formal events in which the CWSA will be involved.
