Wendy Cook

Wendy is an artist based in Leamington Spa, Warwickshire, England. She is totally self taught and has been painting full time since March 2009. 

Wendy says; "I particularly enjoy portraiture and still life.  A lot of the subjects that I choose to paint come from images that I have seen, either in films, books, newspapers or in daily life.  If I see an image that I really like then I will attempt to paint it, they never end up looking like the image that I have seen and I am learning to live with that.  Someone once said to me that "if you want to replicate an image exactly then take a photo", I have to go along with that as my images never seem to be close to the real thing".
